In Memory of Nancy Knox Wagner

Class of 1969
Hampton High School
|
|
Nancy Louise Wagner (Knox) died unexpectedly, but peacefully at her Tallahassee home on Sept. 7, 2016 at the age of 64.
Born at Ft. Benning, GA to Lt. Col. Thomas and Carol Knox, Nancy attended several schools as her father was stationed across the country, graduating from Hampton High School, Hampton VA in 1969.
She has one daughter Nancy Anne Wagner, a graduate of FSU School of Nursing; currently working as a Nurse Practitioner in Tallahassee.
Before moving to Tallahassee, Nancy spent 16 years in Durango, Colorado.
She enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and the wildlife that roamed the area. She made many friends and enjoyed meeting the variety of campers that pulled through their campground. The Denver Broncos never had a more loyal or enthusiastic fan.
In 1990 she and her family moved to Tallahassee to be close to her parents and siblings. She worked for several optometrists/ophthalmologists in the area for many years. Nancy was an avid reader and cat lover, who loved watching movies, doing crossword puzzles and listening to music. Her friends and family enjoyed the many baked goods and sweets from her kitchen. She was a loving, compassionate, caring soul, who never met a stranger. She attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Nancy is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Anne Wagner, her sisters Jean Knox Renard (Paul) Carrabelle FL, Anne M. Knox, her brothers Thomas J. Knox Jr. (Claire), John R. Knox (Tricia), William A. Knox (Dana), all of Tallahassee, and many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
The family plans a private interment at Meadow Woods Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
